Hi. I am a 37 yo male. Diagnosed with small hiatal hernia at 18 as I had nausea, etc. controlled it over the years with diet. Recently had a bout with some left rib pain and abdominal aches. Went away for 3 months. Then came back with a few bouts of gas. After getting these aches in my left rib, and sometimes right, doc sent me for and endoscopy. Said I have very slight Barrett’s and some inflammation and put me on protonix. Also have small polyp on gallbladder that we will check again in 6 months.
He said the pain in rib (front and side) can be caused from this, and that it affects everyone differently. I don’t have much indigestion and have a great appetite, etc. I hate to doubt but it seems strange that intermittent pain can radiate all over. Any thoughts are appreciated.
