Sphincterotomy Surgery-Anal fissure

Well after dealing with a anal fissure for almost a year now in horrible pain I finally went and had the Sphincterotomy surgery done. This was 3days ago and I had a BM tonight and there wasn't a lot of pain at all really but there was blood. Im not sure if this is just the normal after effects of this surgery or am I just going to go through this whole entire thing again?!=(
