Volvulus - CT or MRI?

Hello. I'm a 33-year old man, usually healthy. Due to a stomach ache and mild heartburn a few months ago, I went through gastroscopy in which a mild inflammation of the stomach was diagnosed. In addition, the doctor observed that the stomach was large and twisted, and it was difficult for him to push the endoscope further down the stomach. The doctor suspected a Volvulus and/or Paraesophageal hernia, and sent me to a CT scan of the stomach. My question is: is MRI also possible in this case? Is MRI scan also effective in diagnosing Volvulus or Paraesophageal hernia? I ask this due to the large amount of radiation involved in CT scan, and I don't want to expose myself to such radiation if there is a better alternative. Thank you
