What is causing the severe burning/pain in my middle upper abdomen?

Hi,
I am only 19 years old, but I've had stomach problems my whole life.
When I was in gr.4 I was "diagnosed" with IBS because I was too young to get the other necessary tests done to figure out what was really wrong.
Over the past 6 months, I have had hunger pains in my upper middle abdomen, followed by a burning, gnawing feeling. The burning gets so severe sometimes that I can't move, I'm sweating, crying, and this lasts anywhere between 1-3 hours.
I've gone for blood tests, an upper GI, a regular stomach x-ray, and a urea breath test (still waiting for the results on that). I have now been recommended to a specialist but cannot get in until the end of April.
I was wondering if anyone knows what is happening? Can anyone help me?

hi, like many people with your symptoms, it comes down to h-pylori infection followed by overproduction of acid and if left untreated ulcers, you should try and see the specialist earlier than april, because ulcers can turn cancerous and damage to the gallbladder is inevitable, in the meantime you should take over the counter medication like mylanta until you can see the specialist, cheers.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I tend to get extremely bloated. I get so bloated that I literally look pregnant, and I have a couple bad stretch marks down my stomach from it.
Again, please help!
Thank you so much!!!!!
