What is wrong with me ? and what can i do ?

For three months i have had the feeling like there is something stuck it my throat, it feels like a load of phlem, but its not as no matter how hard I've tried i cannot get rid of it, although some little clumps of off white coloured phlem comes up, i get a very windy at times and burp, not often though, Its making me want too cough up and spit out all the time and I'm producing very thick, white foamy saliva when i do it and the stuck in throat feeling is still there, i've put weight on but dunno whether this is just caused by my poor eating habits, and the top half of my stomach seems bloated looking, again this could be cause of my weight gain. Ive had anti-biotics and they didnt work. I,ve been ENT clinic for the camera down my throat he says theres no lumps or anything in my throat, he think could be a viral infection which can't be treated with Anti-Biotics  and thinks that its the nerve endings in my throat that are aware I've a viral infection and is which is giving me the feeling theres something stuck. I'm not convinced he's right.

Gagg above in his reply to you indicated anxiety and I would say yes because I had this problem a few years ago and no matter how hard I tried to swallow, the lump in my throat would never go away! I tried cleraing my throat, swallowing....nothing helped. I even looked in the mirror back there to see if I could possibly see anything!
The dx was GERD....gastroesophageal reflux disease. And yes, when I was finally diagnosed, I know mine was due to extreme stress at the time. I think I took Zantac, Pepcid, Tagamet....tried a few but really, it had to go away on its own for me. So, I tried deep breathing exercises and began a small walking routine all for relaxation and for me, it went away in a few months....yes, months....long time.
Every once in a while still I can feel it coming on so I abate it right away with deep breaths and diverging my mind away from it. Easier said than done!
Best wishes!
