Is it the new normal for NO surgery after a ruptured appendix?

I am concerned about my sister because she has been in the hospital for the past five days with abdominal bloating, ruptured appendix, a cyst in her abdomen. She  has been on antibiotics, had some blood transfusions, however they have not removed her ruptured appendix.  Has this so called antibiotic technique been used with someone else in the same situation.
