born with gastroschisis

My daughter was born with gastroschisis back in 2008 for the first year she had constipation problems but after that she seemed to be fine after we go through her first year she seem to be growing normally.
I had a hard time potty training her but eventually she got it. she has a problem for a few year with wetting the bed, but we finally got her use to waking herself up at night to go to The bathroom. She was 7 going on 8 when she stop wetting the bed. Then about a year ago another problem started, she started pooping her pants. So after about a week of her doing it up to 5 times a day, I figured something was wrong she wasn't having accidents, there has to be something serious going in. So I took her to the doctor, found out she was so constipated that it was an accident. so after getting ride of her constipation and making sure she was going regularly, another problem came into play, she was having accidents again but more than 9 time a day. so again we go to The doctor, this time nothing is wrong. No constipation no blockage, she's good no problems medically.
But the pooping the pants continues. so after a month of this from 6 to 10 times a day having to take off of working and bring her cloths to school, I dont understand and take it anymore, were going on a year of this and it has gotten worse, I dont know what to do, does she have loose bowl syndrome, or is there something mentally wrong please if anyone can help or has any advice please, I'm loosing it, I just don't know what to do anymore.

Thank you for answering me back. My husband and I were thinking the same thing, So we are going to put her on a special diet and get some counseling for her. We believe it a mixture of both, I read up on IBS and it say it also can be mental.
She has times when she will control it for a curtain period of time until something triggers her, witch I also need to figure out. thank you for your response and I will keep you updated.
thanks again

I'm so sorry to hear about this- I am sure it has to be frustrating.  Did they rule out loose bowl syndrome when they said that she is medically clear of issues?  Are you able to get a referral to check on more of a behavior angle on this- be it a mental development issue or something like that?  It sounds like you should keep pushing the doctors for answers, kids don't usually just have accidents like this at that age without a reason.  Good luck and let us know how you and your daughter are doing!
