Have you been cleared by your doc concerning anything to do with your heart? If you have, are you experiencing any other symptoms that might suggest you could be having stomach and/or acid reflux issues? Many people with acid reflux can have chest pain that could be related to gastritis/acid relux and related spasms of the esophagus. Another thing that might be considered is possible problems with the gallbladder which can result in pain in the chest or pain that moves into the back.
Hello,
Recovery after bypass surgery depends on many factors like age at the time of surgery, percentage of blocks, number of arteries blocked, postoperative condition and presence of any associated medical illnesses. After a bypass surgery also one must take care to prevent atherosclerosis from happening again. Regular exercise, avoiding fatty fried food and stress all can prevent atherosclerosis from happening again. Chest pain at your age and with past history of bypass surgery should not be taken lightly. You will need to see a cardiologist at the earliest. Get an ECG, lipid profile and echocardiogram done again. You may need angiography if your symptoms and other investigations are suggestive of angina. Other causes of this pain could be muscular pain, costochondritis etc.Do write to us again.
Best of luck and regards!
