Are you diagnosed with them?  for instance, my doctor thinks I suffer from them, but so far, will not diagnose them.  He refuses until he does a laparoscopy to explore.  That is fine, but in the meantime i suffer in pain.

I know this post is a few months old. I too likely suffer from adhesions, probably for nearly 30 years. I also have had several surgeries for other stuff which only made adhesions worse. Recently I have been told by 2 physical therapists and a massage therapist that I have some pretty tough adhesions but they have been unable to help.

There is a big headline at an endometriosis site that claims there was a patient whose adhesions were visible on a simple barium swallow, just 'incidentally'- the test wasn't initially given for the purpose of finding adhesions. I would like to believe that all of this is true but won't get my hopes up. I'll be curious as to what doctors have to say about this. If it is true it seems strange that nobody noticed this before. Even if it were true I don't hold out much hope for getting anyone to take the issue of adhesions seriously. I'm so sick of suffering from them.

I also suffer from "undiagnosed" abdominal pain.

They think it could possibly be adhesions....but only exploratory surgery could find out for sure.

The pain management team are actually treating my pain as "Abdominal Wall Pain Syndrome" and or "Abdominal Cutaneous Nerve Entrapment Syndrome" or "Acnes"
Where they inject local anaesthetic around my incision scar where it is most painful....thinking it could possibly be a neuroma from a nerve.

To date this has not been very effective so fun fun fun, still living on painkillers until they try something else.....
