i have ee and every symptoms of it,chocking can't eat and so on.but i also have more symptoms and was wanting to know if it would cause more things like dizzyness passing out nerve problems swelling areas fatigue urinary problems racing heart and some more.thanks

oh yea and i still have a BAD sore throat for 6 weeks now!!! According to the doctors thats from anxiety...haha..yeaaa..ookay.

well okay so i had the upper endoscopy done and it showed esophegeal spasms and gastritis......been taking nexium for over a month now the doctor wants me to continue with that. Still have the feeling something is stuck in throat like a lump sensation and dry cough! Yesterday i had a swallow study done and i'm waiting on the results of that.The woman that did the swallow study wants me to see another ENT.....i will plan on that too...I just want all of this to go away! Its very frustrating and eventually the way the doctors treat you is like your crazy! You know your body better then anyone. "you are not crazy" just dont give up! trust me i have to push through this and its not easy....its actually a hard, frustrating, painful and lonley process....but i can't give up! I will post another update as soon i get the results. :)

I have had difficulty swallowing for a month now lost 22 pounds and have been surviving on liquids. I had a upper endoscopy done yesterday and get biopys results back on tuesday, however i have read alot on EE and it seem like i meet alot if not all of the symptoms. I havent really had heart burn just a constant feeling of food being stuck in throat and pain upon swallowing every now and agian and beching..  oh yeah and a constant sore throat! Im not sure whats going on...but im intrested to know if anyone has gone through this? Man i cant wait to eat real food agian!

K28, EE can cause all of the symptoms you're listing. It's basically an autoimmune problem that can be very severe. You need to be screened to find out what foods contribute to the cascade of symptoms and then stay away from those items. EE isn't a simple 'food allergy.' It's quite a bit worse.

My teen son has been diagnosed with EE and has many other symptoms as well.  He has mouth ulcers, skin rashing, joint pain, heart racing, facial swelling, extreme fatigue, etc.  We have been hunting a diagnosis for almost two years and all we have so far is EE.
