u can also have a less invasive test at the doc office they can take a sample of the inside of the uteris and test it for endo, i did it ,it hurt a little for 5 secs and then i had cramps for a couple of hours instead of having a big surgury ask the dr about that first never jump on the table before u ask around 4 a while
Endometriosis can certainly cause bowel problems if implanted on the rectum or anywhere else on the large intestine. The only way to "rule out" endo is surgically via laparoscopy. It doesn't show up on ultrasounds, MRI, or CT scan.
I have IBS and all I know is it is often worse at the start of my period.
