About talking with the doctor: try to force to get results soon. You can talk about your drugs, if you can drop some, you take them many. You can also ask what are recomended investigations for small intestinal lymphoma.
Food itself can cause mucus only if you are allergic or intolerant to some foods, like milk or gluten, or in food poisoning.
co codamol helps a little bit it ,seems to calm things down do you think its ok to carry on taking them i mean about 6 a day ,until i get results ,
and do you think going to see doc is a waste of time untill i get results.
havent seen any mucus as yet could food trigger that?
When you'll get results, ask, if some biopsies of colonic mucosa, other than polyps, were taken. It is possible to have any other large intestinal disease together with polyps.
In meantime, you can observe, if anything changed about the mucus discharge, you've mentioned. Mucus was maybe from polyps, but if after a weak or more, mucus will continue, than it's from small intestinal disorder, I guess.
Pain was not from polyps (as you see). Pain is probably from your stomach. Regarding, you're taking co-codamol, it is a bit strange you still feel pain. I hope you'll get results soon, so you can continue with small intestinal testing, if needed. Try to concentrate on work you like, to do what you think is right.
And btw, you don't have IBS. For diagnosis of IBS, ALL other gastrointestinal diseases have to be excluded, and you have two confirmed: gastric reflux and polyps.
thanx will have t wait for results and put up with pain pointless going to docs untill i here results i guess ?
thanx again you are a big help
You need some days to see what's from procedure and what's from other causes.
14 polyps is a lot yes; this goes with your history of other tumors you've mentioned. You seem to be prone to develope these tumors. 6 weeks ...well, it all depends on the queue in the histologic laboratory. You can't do much about this anyway. They will tell you if polyps are cancerous or not (if polyps were small and doctor said don't wory - then they are probably only benign non-harmless tumors). But remember - you'll need regular colonoscopies for these polyps, by the time plan which doctor will recommend.
Bloating is really not connected with polyps, it should be something else. Bloating is always from bacteria (or yeasts - Candida). Now - you can have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (tested with a simple BREATH TEST), or Candida overgrowth in colon (STOOL TEST FOR CANDIDA).
OR
you have some type of malabsorption from small intestinal disease (checked with CAPSULE ENDOSCOPY). In malabsorption, unabsorbed nutrients are consumed by bacteris, which then produce gas. Well, you would also have diarrhea in this case. Lymphomas you've mentioned can also be in the small intestine.
