weak/ damage muscles and aftermath

Hey everyone,

So this may get a bit personal and embarrassing so I do apologize. A year ago I underwent a terrible accident that left me with a weakened anal sphincter. Unfortunately, there was a lot of trauma done to the area so after 6 months of biofeedback I still have the same problem. I leak gas everyday and not just the regular amount but an excessive amount. I mainly do not hear the passing of gas anymore and when I am around people I almost immediately notice them noticing me (and not the good kind). It's a stink face that they give me and if they need to actual talk to me and get close to me they just look at me like I am disgusting. It's not all in my head, although some people say that it is. I know this because of everyone's reactions to me, the giggling around me, and the constant whispers. I have stunk up a room multiple times before and constantly stink up my car. The physical muscle does not stay permanently shut and I believe this is what people smell when they are around me. I have had one treatment of Solesta, which is a bulking agent injected into the anal canal, and have another one scheduled in a couple weeks. My next option after that is try InterStim, which is a muscle stimulator that is implanted in the body. After that, surgery I guess. This problem has left me feeling very helpless and miserable, I had to stop taking in class course for college and now just take online courses. I need to get better, I barely leave my house and haven't seen any one of my friends in almost over a year now. My life has been on hold. Has anyone ever experienced this/heard of this/ knows of this? If you've read up to this part, I greatly appreciate it and would appreciate any feedback on the matter. I don't have any experience with this, but wanted to let you know that I'm sorry to hear of all you are going through- I'm sure this can be very frustrating!
