irregular mucosal pattern in my 10 year old son

my son has to go on for testing. they found irregular mucosal pattern 6 cm above the catheter balloon. and they want to do a biopsy. what are they looking for? is cancer a concern?

and the issue he has is severe/chronic constipation. They thought they were going to remove part of his colon, so when they went in to check, that's when they found the other issue and scheduled a biopsy.
