Thank you for your response very much, The doctor just told me to re-schedule and to call the doctor on monday to get the plan, I am really curious as to what is wrong with me, this has been going on for a long time, I think one of the causes might be : I have been on heavy duty medications since I was 13 years old, I have been sober 83 days now, when I was abusing drugs I was taking a ton of pills, I regret it so much but I got up to 20-30 pills a day, and have taken so many lor tabs and perkacettes, mabey 8-14 a day for a long time, also when I was 13 I got on depicote , when I turned 14 I was 170lbs, after a year and a half I got up to 315lbs from the depicote, then I lost all the weight in less then 2 years, I have lots of problems. Do you think this has a lot to do with it? and if so would there be mabey something you could possibly think, not know but gimme a hint as to what is wrong with me. Thank you very much

VeXun, yes I have heard of this happening. If you're dealing with a regular doc, they will probably have no idea of how to handle the situation. Seek out a good GI person who deals in motility issues (lower) and reschedule having some tests done. You might want to start with the 'ring' marker test to see how fast you're moving fecal material through. Depending on what that shows, they may want to do a slow, extended prep to get you through a colonoscopy. If you're found to have very slow motility, make sure you discuss 'mapping' your colon to find out whether or not you're having nerve issues in the colon.
Don't freak.........do some reading about slow colon transit.
