tummy ache

I am a 45 year old male in good health. However, I  have experienced pain at my navel and it projects to the lower right side of my abdomin for several days. The navel is tender to the touch. I have had a normal bowel movements. I am a heavy coffee drinker and after drinking it, I often have to go to the bathroom right away. In the past, I have had a discharge from my navel but that is not the case at this time. Also, I have had a colonoscopy that failed to find any problems.  Can this be colonitis? Diverticulitis? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I would suspect your appendix as well.  Although, once I thought I was having appendicitis with pain in right, I went to ER and learned I had a UTI.  Caffeine is a natural diuretic, so if that's in your coffee, you might consider switching to de-caff. regarding your need to go so quickly after coffee.

It could be early appendicitis or your gallbladder.  If the colonoscopy is normal it probably is not colitis or diverticulitis.

I suggest you make an appt with your doctor ASAP.
