Pain in the backside!

I am having an issue with bleeding when having bowel movements.  it usually follows a sharp pain to abdomen and causes the whole area to throb and have sharp pains.  I had a colonoscopy and they said no hemroids, fishers, or polups.  Not sure what todo now.  I feel bad all the time.  Maybe I should say that I have RA and am a thyroid cancer survivor.   Not sure what direction to go with but am tired of this pain in my backside!

Yes, but if you had many small tears that only bleed when you had bowel movements, they might not be visible on a colonoscopy.

I would think that the colonoscopy would have seen the tears if any.. and a lot of blood, and i have had a hysterectomy.  so dunno.

That is very strange.  How much blood is it?  It is possible that the blood is coming from little tears near your rectum?  It is possible that the blood is coming from your vagina (if you are a woman)?

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  It is very strange that they didn't find anything on the colonoscopy to show where the bleeding is coming from.  What color is the blood?  Have you had a stool test to see if it is truely blood in your stools?  How often does this happen?
