can chrons disease turn into diverticulitis

have  had chrons for about 20 years pretty much has been in remission. now im having problems moving my bowels. today I took 3 stool softners and a bottle of citrate. this has been going on for about 2 weeks. when I have a movement it is just tiny pieces of stool coming out. have been having major cramps for about  1 and a half weeks. double me over. I am a nurses aide and have been working in health care for 35 years. don't know whats going on. took citrate an hour and a half ago and NOTHING haven't even expelled the liquid yet.
