I know this may not fall under infectious diseases, I wasnt sure what to put for a topic...
What are the concerns of many numerous moles or small brown blemish spots developing on a body? Ive heard that it could mean cancer.

Hi, usually you get more moles as you age. If they are raised, irregular, asymmetrical, have one mole on top of  another, or more than one color, also any change in a mole and any mole larger than a pencil eraser, these are all things to worry about. It is best to have an exam by a dermatologist or even your GP once a year. You should get them checked if you are worried. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Age doesn't matter as to to when you get melanoma. You can develop it at various ages such as in your twenties as well as later.

Don't panic yet.  For your own peace of mind, see your primary care provider (PCP) and see about getting a referal to a dermatologist.  Even a PCP can determine if there is any reason to be concerned about Melanoma, but a dermatologist is still a good doctor to go to.  If cancer is still suspected, either the PCP or the dermatologist will refer you to an oncologist.  Nevertheless, it might not be Melanoma.  So, don't hit the panic button just yet.  When you make your appointment with your doctor, tell the receptionist if these spots are new to you, because that may help to determine how quickly the receptionist can make an appointment with your doctor.
