Barnacle infection??

Hello. I cut my hand on a rock with barnacles.  I heard about how a guy got infected by a normal cut. I was bleeding for like 5-10 minutes. I cleansed with soap and water and put neosporin on it. How likely is it will I be ok? https://youtu.be/tAmSR-SRmMI

I’d wonder if the barnacle cuts are “oozing” any pus, blood or a combination of both.  I recently (month ago) got bitten by a dog.   Although I washed the area with soap/water when it first happened, I continued to do that, a few times/day, until the developed a scab.  I did end up going to urgent care (both for that and another reason) and they told me to leave the wounds uncovered (open to the air) and put antibacterial ointment on once/day.

This is not medical advice, since barnacles would probably have different bacteria than a dog bite, but do keep the wound(s) clean and make sure to see a doctor for any signs of infection (I was given an antibiotic as precaution).

Hello~You are probably OK, the fact that you bled a lot is good as it got rid of anything that could have caused an infection. I would keep watch of the area, and if it looks like it is getting infected or you have any pain, then see your GP.
