Use a larger bandage and wrap it around itself, then cover it with snugly fitting gauze and tape. Good luck.
That's not a bad idea... If anyone else wants to chime in as well, I'm all ears!
I was just reading about bandages that you can apply to sweaty hands and will not slide off. I think there called Treat It Right Bandages. I hope this helps you. Good luck!
I do believe those are made by 3M under the Nexcare line...
I just read something online about something called 'Tincture of Benzoin' which is apparently an adhesive that can be applied to the skin prior to applying a bandage... Has anyone heard of this stuff?
Yes, and most typically it is used for use with steri-strips to help hold them in place. However, it stings really badly if it gets into the wound site, and it stains clothes very easily.
What using skin tac? If it's strong enough to hold diabetic equipment, I think it should be able to hold a band aid through extreme sweaty conditions?
I don't know what skin tac is, I was referring to tincture of benzoin!
Sorry... I meant 'what about using skin tac', but since you were unaware of it, the grammar issue on my part really doesn't matter. It's a liquid skin adhesive that is commonly used to keep insulin pumps in place on the body. It doesn't have alcohol and apparently wont affect allergies as well.
Ah...got it. WE call it Dermabond. Isn't if funny how many names the same thing can have?
That is very true... Well, at least I know I have a couple of different options in case something happens. I do appreciate your input! :)
My pleasure! Good luck with your options!
