Bump on lip that wont go away

Hi! I had a fever blister on my outer lip a few weeks ago and took some medicine right away to take care of it. (I've had these my whole life so I know how to get rid of them). Within a couple days, the blister was diminished to practically nothing, but it left this white bump there. Almost like a clear zit that needs popped. I thought eventually it would deflate and go away, but its been weeks and its still there. It's not painful, and I've tried squeezing it to see if it'll pop and I can get rid of it, but that has proven to be EXTREMELY painful. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it? It drives me nuts, and now people are starting to ask me if I've had my lip pierced!

If you haven't gone to see your doctor about this, you should.  Don't squeeze it any more.  Obviously, this isn't working and I'm sure it only causes more of whatever this sort of inflammation is.  You may have an allergy you're unaware of, too.  Make an appointment to see your PCP or dermatologist.

You should have it looked at by your family doctor, or a dermatologist, just to rule out anything more serious.

Good luck!

I had the same thing get a clean cloth and run it down with warm water  morning and night and most importanly do Not pop it or mess with it it will just irritate it and cause it to stay longer and if that doesnt work just add me as a friend and give you more options
