Crimping Hands

I've got this weird condition in my hands. It started in just the left one. Now it seems to be symmetrical. It's on the side between the wrist and the baby finger. That section from time to time just crumbles inward. It's like the muscle is just seizing up. I don't know is happening. Can anyone help?

Thank you. Both of those answers are exactly what I need to be considering, thank you for that.
I will wait until it happens again and then try to get a picture. In the mean time I will research more on those. Thank you.

Hello, it may be a carpal tunnel issue, I would see your GP, he will be able to tell you for sure what is going on. In the meantime, wearing a hand brace may help some.

That sounds uncomfortable! Have you been doing any work with that hand lately?  Gardening, working a tool of some sort?  Anything that would be different than your norm? It may be a hand cramp.  Which can come about from dehydration as well as overuse, magnesium deficiency, poor circulation. There is also something associated with diabetes that can cause a hand to cramp.  https://www.healthline.com/health/hand-cramps#causes  Tell us more in case I'm getting the symptom wrong.
