Does Naegleria fawleri exist in Canadian (BC) tap water?

Just wondered due to a potential exposure. I assume not because of our cold water temperature and the fact the water supply is chlorinated.  Thanks.

Naegleria fawleri is associated with swimming in fresh water such as lakes and ponds. Not tap water. No, Canada has not had that show up in their water supply. They test their water supply to make sure it is safe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_supply_and_sanitation_in_Canada

Thanks. Appreciate the response. Can't find any indication this even exists in Canada at all let alone in tap water - which is obviously treated and chlorinated by the water company.  Plus water in Canada is far too cold for this to survive.  I'm just worrying unnecessarily I'm sure

As far as I know, this amoeba can be found in tropical waters, not in cold climates
