Sorry I forgot the hash mark. OB/GYN: A commonly used abbreviation. OB is short for obstetrics or for an obstetrician, a physician who delivers babies. GYN is short for gynecology or for a gynecologist, a physician who specializes in treating diseases of the female reproductive organs.
What is obgyn? Btw thanx for the reply!
Thanx for the reply, yes I went to my gp again n asked him to take blood test .. now waiting gor the result... so nervous!
And yes im 25 and married since last 2 years , and dont have any kids.
ee have tried many times for the intercourse but it hurts. Now he is exercising daily with his 1 finger to insert in my vagina..
Any advice?
You do not say how old you are. And knowing how old you are makes a big difference.
If you are someone in your 40s and over then the erratic periods could be because you have begun the change of life and this will go on for many years before your periods will finally stop altogether.
If you are someone who is much younger, then you do need further investigation, either by a blood test to find our your hormone levels and whether you are anaemic and possibly an ultrasound scan to see if you have polycystic ovaries.
Perhaps you could make an appointment with a different doctor regarding your concerns and show him the menstrual cycle chart. It is a very good idea to keep a cycle chart as well as how your feel mentally and physically.
Best wishes.
You need to go see your OBGYN to see if it could possibly be another reason other than what your GP said. I believe your OB would know a little more.
Use good lubrication like KY jelly; there are other sexual lubricants available on the market too. Apply (or get him to apply) lubrication to your vagina and also on his penis. Men can experience dryness too.
If your vagina is not well lubricated and you are not ready, penetration will be painful even with a finger.
Another reason for painful penetration can be from psychological problems as well as physical problems.
Glad to know that your doctor has taken a blood test to find out if there are hormonal problems. If the results come back normal, ask if you can be referred to have a ultrasound scan done. Having polycystic ovaries will cause having erratic periods as well as problems of conceiving.
If having sex still is a problem after you have foreplay and use lubrication, do tell your doctor about this. You may require a hormone cream, or sexual counselling if there is a psychological problem.
Best wishes.
