Excuse me. His name was Dr. Hans Selye.
That is an excellent question and the answer is controversial.
The seminal work on the subject of calcium and aging was done by the late Dr. Hans Slye (1907-1982), a Canadian endochronologist at the Universete de Montreal. He published a book linking calcium to aging titled "The Stress of Life" in 1956. Though out of print, it is available on the internet and provides provocative answers to your question.
Dr. Selye linked excess calcium levels to premature aging in lab animals.
Can you say what your number was? Sometimes if you have elevated calcium it can be a sign of parathyroid problems.
