Hi! My left toe nail turns light purple while I'm standing. As soon as I move it goes away. And my left leg is more red in colour while standing. If I move it goes away. I have varicose veins in my left leg. Can it be a problem? Thank you.
I had a doppler ultrasound today. Everything is fine with my leg apart from the varicose veins. The doctor said I should not worry about the discoloration. It can go away if he removes the varicose veins, but it can stay too.
Hm. Does your leg swell? I personally would take this question to your doctor and make sure all is alright with the veins and circulation. Let us know what the doctor says
No, it does not swell. I went to see the gp yesterday and he said I might have a narrow vein there. He checked the pulse on my feet by hand and he said that I have normal blood flow to the toe. He said do not worry. He said that I might have Raynaud's there, because when my feet worm I don't see it. So I put frozen veggies on my feet yesterday. They went ice cold but it actually did not go purple that time..... Any idea? Is it serious or not? What should I do?
You are being seen by a doctor which is great! They've given you a mini explanation. If they suspected it was serious, they'd follow up. I'd continue to monitor it and do not hesitate to return to the doctor if you continue to be concerned!
