Olive Leaf

Hello,

I am currently on two kinds of blood pressure medicine.  Lisinopril & Diltiazem.  Recently I started taking Olive Leaf Extract two times a day for the reputed health benefits it offers.  Come to find out this herb is also an antihypertensive.  Snapshot guess as to whether this is ok?

Snapshot answer is, call or go see your doctor and ask him/her about this.  Or, call your pharmacist with a list of your meds (including OTC) and ask about negative interactions.  You should always ask about adding and/or stopping any medications.  There can be some unusual side effects, or none at all.

Really should ask your doctor.  You may need to reduce your doses of the hbp meds.  Take your blood pressure regularly and see if it's making a difference.
