IBS, cancer, nothing?

Hello,

Im a 25yo women. For months now, I have been feeling pain in the middle of my stomach accompanied by diarrhea or constipation. I went to see my attending physician twice who prescribed me an ultrasound of the abdomen which showed nothing to worry about. However, my pain persists and bothers me on a daily basis. Could it all be related to irritable bowel syndrome or worse?

Thanks, Julia

Hello~I am glad that you had it checked and the results were good. Your pain issues could be due to the IBS, but, if you are still worried, I would get a second opinion, sometimes an MRI or CT scan will reveal more, I would ask your GP about having one of these tests done.
