Is my veins shot?

I went to the hospital recently because i had complications in my testicles, so they put a iv in me and i passed out but when i woke they where finished. when i was in there my arm felt cold all the way until i left(i took it as the iv). so it is 2 weeks later and its not bothering me foreal but when i stretch or bend my arm it hurts like, when you have swelling and bruised a area and its tender, but its been two weeks since this occured. and it only seems like this when i am laying down, can you explain to me what this is, i have had an iv once before but i cant remember which arm it was is and, but ik that for two weeks i dont know if its supposed to be sore like this and still feel cold around where i had gotten it placed, swollen i dont know because i have been playing basketball the past 2 days but this has been ongoing since i left......im hoping nothing serious is happening or they shot my veins..........

Hello~It may be that as they were inserting they IV they hit a nerve, this can cause the symptoms you are describing and can sometimes last a few weeks or so. If it continues, I would ask your GP, he/she may have some thoughts as well.

Thank you for the response my sister was in the medical field as well and she said it’s probation just some bruising but if it was infiltrated or such other things the pain would be a little worse than just being “come and go” difficulties
