Lump in armpit

Hello everyone! I have had this lump under my armpit for about 1 1/2 weeks now. At first it appeared as a small bump and was very painful. Then, a day later, it grew bigger and it gradually started to hurt less as the days went on until now. Now, it is completely painless.

The lump feels kind of hard and like an amorphous blob (if that makes sense)...it feels like there are 2 other smaller bumps connected with the larger one. It feels like there isn't too much of a distinct clear-cut edge to the lump.

The lump has remained there and hasn't changed size for a while now. I am going to see a doctor on Monday to get it checked out. However, in the meantime, I wanted to know if anyone had any clue what this could be. Thanks!

Some relevent information I thought I should add: I took a Plan B (emergency contraceptive) pill about 3 weeks ago, I shaved my armpits for the first time in a while about 3-4 weeks ago, and during these last few weeks, I have had symptoms of a bladder infection/UTI (I have had this twice before within the last few months).

First off does it feel like popped popcorn?  If so could be the dreaded C word. But don't get yourself upset or scared yet. The way you described it, it sounds like fatty tissue or calcium buildup.

I had the exact thing and it was a sebaceous cyst. the doctor told me it was from clogged pores in my underarm. they drained it and it hasn't returned, though it heard it can return!

It could be a clogged pore, a bug bite, a boil, irritation from shaving or a cyst. Did you have any drainage at the site?
That's good that you have an appointment to see your Dr because they will be able to tell you what's going on. Take care. Remar
