Malabsorption and anemia

Is it possible to have chronic food malabsorption without anemia ?

If you are concerned you should go to your doctor to check your blood, not only for anaemia, but lack of other essential vitamins like Vitamin B12.

With food malabsorbtion it can take some time for your iron levels to drop and for you to become anaemic.

If there is a chronic food malabsorbtion, then there is something wrong with the gut and that also needs investigating

Best wishes.

Was just reading about Enzymes and how they help with malabsorbtion.  You can get a multiple-enzyme formula at your local health food store.  Hope it helps you.

Parathyroid gland comes to mind.  You can have food malabsorbtion without anemia - because you'd be lacking Vitamin D.  See an endocrinologist about your parathyroid.  (Not the same as thyroid).
