My boyfriend might have herpes, but he isn't sure, help?

My boyfriend and I are ready to be intimate.  He was completely honest with me and told me that a year ago his girlfriend cheated on him and she got herpes.  She had sex with him before she knew she got it.  He is worried he could have herpes,  but be has never gotten a break out or tested positive.  Should I be concerned that I might get it? I'm really scared of getting it :(

Ask to see his results from the doctor. My ex fiancé lied to me when he got a positive result because he was afraid I wouldn't have sex with him.I now have it too, as well as HPV. Herpes should be the least of your concerns. About 75% of Americans have HPV and don't even know they have it. It can cause cervical cancer and genital warts....BAD stuff. Be careful...your health should be the most important thing and if he loves you he will agree to testing and handing over the results!

Another word of advise....herpes can be spread even with the use of a condom. Both of these viruses can be transmitted orally as well.
