I have had a nerve conduction test for pins and needles in my hands, while she was doing it she asked if my foot was affected also, I said yes that fell asleep sometimes also, I have now been called back for an EMG, which has worried me, I have felt out of sorts for a while now and am always really tired.

Pinched nerves can definitely do this. If your test does not reveal anything, I suggest making an appointment with a chiropractor, mine sure helps me.
