Worriedone, I have that low of a BP at first I was never that low until Ihad my oldest son, the doctors ran a bunch of blood work, i guess for things like thyroid (this was 18 years ago.) nothing came back they like seeing low but as long as it doesn't go up high then low and so on he said he wasn't that concerned, but I think you should call your doctor to run it by them, it might mean something, like my doctors were looking for.
Now as far as the other question i am not sure if i heard this wrong or not, so i apologize if I am, aren't doctors more worried now with the bottom number. i know that we have to monitor my husbands since Dec. he has been high and low and his PCP didn't like it at 144/94 said it was high and I thought he said we need to get that bottom number down into the low 80's. which I have been taking and it has been okay until friday. not sure if I heard him right and if I got it confused with other things.
good luck to both of you guys

By blood pressure has been running low for several months.  My bp is usually 90-95 over 45-55.  The top number has been as low as 88 and the bottom number has been 43.  My heart rate is usually anywhere from 50-65 beats per minute.  Should I be concerned by these numbers?

I might add that you should get a workup, which should include a red blood cell count (hematocrit) and orthostatic vital signs.

One possible cause of the high pulse rate is a low hematocrit.

You have an unusually high heart rate, which would acount for the slight elevated blood pressure. Rates over 100 beats per minute are "tachy" cardic.

I wonder if there was some reason for you to have been excited that day?

Try taking additional readings at different times and note your pulse.

As Londres70 stated, this is not necessarily something that requires medical attention, but the elevated pulse is a bit unusual.

Most doctors like to see the blood pressure under 120/80. "Norm" would be around 115/76.
As to the pulse rate, for women, the "normal" rate is usually under 78 to 82.

Were you under stress when these readings were taken. Being under stress can certainly raise the pulse and blood pressure, sometimes substantially.

Your BP reading is elevated, but not extremely high.  An ideal BP reading is 120/80 or less. Your pulse reading is elevated, but not extremely high.  An ideal range is 60-100.
