Realistic Outlook After Hypovolemic Shock

My mom recently survived hypervolemic shock (BP under 4, lost more than 90% of blood) due to internal bleeding due to prescription of Zosyn & Lovenox after diarrhea.  She was being treated for bacterial pneumonia.  She is now in renal and hepatic failure with some indication of turn around on #s (bilirubin high, but may be due to hematomas' reabsorption),  She has a Dobhoff providing nutrition as she was not eating well and thus was retaining fluid.  Her BP and HR are "normal" now, and she is able to sit up for 2-5 minutes.  She was on intermittent dialysis, moving towards daily CRRT. Drs. moved her to regular floor then back when lung aspiration and lack of nutrition caused her BP to fall a little. NOW we have been told she contracted gram negative bacteria, rpobalby at an IV site?

So here is my question: if it seems she is responding to nutrition and is still lucid and trying to move her arms and legs, and even sit up once and awhile (eating is still challenge due to nose tube), is there a possibility that she can survive this?  I do not want to have false hope, but I am wondering....

Absolutely there is hope.  I am a Critical Care RN having worked in Emergency and ICU.  I have seen children smiling and moving around just weeks after their parents were told to make final arrangements.  I have seen mysterious and wonderful things.  I wish you the best.

We had a friend who was dying of MRSA - the doctors had given up hope.  Some friends came in with French Green Clay and asked permission to try it.  Since the doctors felt it was useless they let them apply some to his feet and belly button.   That happened over five years ago and our dear friend is still alive.  - I hope this helps your Mom too.
