Why does my skin get so hot?

My boyfriend told me my skin gets very hot, he said I'm like two furnaces. When I touch my skin I can also feel that it is very hot. But I don't feel hot? Like my internal temperature feels normal? So it's almost like just my skin is getting hot. I overheat very easily at night and normally sleep with the fan on and sometimes even without blankets. When I'm overheating at night is the only time I really feel the heat though. For the most part when my boyfriend touches me and comments on how hot I feel and how I'm burning I up I can't really tell unless I also feel my skin. Is there a cause for this? Or is it just thing that happens to some people? I don't know if it's worth seeing a doctor about.
