What could cause my 16 month old little girl to start to grow pubic hair?

What could cause my 16 month old little girl to start to grow pubiic hair? I took her to the doctor friday and they did some blood work. The doctor said is more than likely nothing to be concerned with but, 16 month old babies don't grow hair down there for no reason. She has started to grow 5-10 black hairs already and it looks like more are going to come in. She has no other symptoms. Please help?

If I were you I would switch to all natural organic diet. There are many foods that can casue this such as milk and meats that have been altered by hormones. Try this and get a second opinion. My ped. always checks for premature pubic hair on my kids check up. This certainly is not normal.

I would definitely get a second opinion. It sounds like she has some type of hormone problem.
