People with your condition are usually told to cut out salt.

go see a hormone specialist  you may suffer from adrenal fatigue have them check your adrenal glands get off all salt..chips fr fries..soda pop....prop up feet evry hour for 15 minuted and yes..you should try to alleviate this problem with trying to reduce the amount of weight the ankles have to hold up....weight loss will help..check with your dr and also get blood circulation tests of legs and heart...pitting edema is a sign of congestive heart failure....good luck

You have a potentially life-threatening problem. Clearly obesity is involved. You need to lose weight, but that isn't always as easy as it sounds. You need a consultation with an endochronologist. Do NOT accept the opinion of an ordinary M.D. You will undergo tests that will determine if you have a metabolic problem. There are surgical options, which incluse a clamp to restrict food intake into the stomach.  Fluid retention is a big yellow flag signaling big trouble ahead. In the short run they will probably prescribe diuretics. Vitamin C is a mild diuretic and 1000 mg a day (crystalline) will produce some relief. You need to find a personal physician who will take an interest in you and give you a toe-to-nose examination, Make this a priority.

It would be a good idea to see your Dr about this. It does sound like fluid retention and that can be caused by many things. Keep us up to date on what you find out and take care. Remar
