I have had them. Does it feel like you have grit or sand in your eye when you move it? It is either an eye ulcer which will go away or it could be a sty.
I don't know about a sty - those are usually painful.
Considering it's a new development, I would touch base with your doctor. It could be a sty, a calcium deposit or a cholesterol deposit. It's most likely Milia (White Heads) that are being formed by blocked pores. They appear as tiny, hard white balls deep within the skin, and they CAN get bigger!
No matter what it is - picking or popping may or will cause scarring.
Try to avoid heavy moisturizers, creams and oily products on your face.
If it's really irritating the p*ss out of you, a dermatoligist should be able to help!
It could be a Sty! Application of a warm compress or warm washcloth to the affected area for 10 minutes, four to six times a day, can be an effective home remedy and speed rupture of the sty that aids in the relief of symptoms. A sty should not be pressed or squeezed to facilitate drainage, since this can spread or worsen the infection. If a sty persists for several days, a doctor may lance (drain) the infection under local anesthesia in his or her office.
