Im so scared I may have contracted HIV this way....

Hello, I am a women, who had sex with a status unknown male. One night I was having protected sex and as he finished and began to pull the condom out, I noticed semen was leaking out the base of the condom. The condom was still on him but sperm was sliding down his penis. (not the tip, but the base, near his b*lls, the opening) and I was wondering could I have contracted hiv this way? Could it have traveled up inside me from the base? if so, is 6 weeks a good time to get tested?

The only way it can leak out of the condom is if the ring doesn't hold it on the penis, so that wasn't a problem while he was in you. Maybe when he pulled out it leaked but that is too late for an HIV transmission to occur because it has to be penetrating vaginal. HIv is effectively dead in air.
