There are many causes of a rash, environmental/food allergies, syphillis, anxiety etc. Without examining the rash and knowing your history, I have no way of characterizing or offering a causational factor. You could ask her about cortisone cream or oral corticosteroids if the cause is determined to be an autoimmune issue.

i know you can not know without looking at it .. but my Dr here is not helping much either ... she seems not to know what it is ... and i couldn't be honest with her.

The Pro-Forum Docs are absoulutely correct. Your rash means nothing where HIV is concerned especially with the presence of a NEGATIVE 6 week antibody test result. Yes an ARS rash can last 1-2 weeks or more. It usually does NOT present by itself, rather as part of a "Syndrome" of symptoms. My strong inclination is that you will continue to test NEGATIVE. Keep your mind on other things. Always keep in mind that your fears are NOT reality, your NEGATIVE is.
