Accidentally gave myself a small shallow cut with scissors while grooming myself.

Washed it with soap and it stopped bleeding a few minutes after taking a bath. I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend a few hours after. I know for a fact that we're both HIV free. Does it still pose a risk of contracting one for either of us?

I just want to reiterate what CurfewX posted and repeat that HIV does not appear out of thin air. One of you has to first be infected to infect the other.

I'm just curious why you'd assume that HIV could suddenly appear out of nowhere? It's such a strange assumption that I'm truly curious to know how you got the idea. Help me understand why you have this concern?

HIV does not spontaneously generate.  If neither partner has HIV, one person cannot give HIV to another person, no matter what.
