negative test but ARS symptoms

Hi, I had an unprotected heterosexual exposure to somebody of unknown status 5 and 3 weeks ago. I felt as though I was having ars symptoms so I took a oraquick swab test 2days ago. The result was negative.  If I had infact had ars symptoms,  would the test definitely be positive?
thanks

Also,  I know symptoms are not indicators,  but does a white tongue, coldsore, fatigue and mild nausea sound like ars. I have no fever (temperature is in fact a tad low but nothing unusual) and as far as I can tell I have no recognisable rash

I understand this but the main point of my question was whether or not the fact that I feel as though I have gone/ am going through ARS effect the outcome of the test. Some people suggest if ARS is present, a test will definitely be positive as the antibodies have been produced.
Thanks for your help
