Can HIV be transmitted through a scratch with a needle or knife?

Hello. A few days ago, I was returning from school when a friend scratched my neck with a sharp thing.
(something like a needle or a knife???)

1) The scratch did not bleed. (Only the scratch place became red, (looks like dried up))
2) I know the virus dies after a while, But what if the virus was on the needle recently?
3) I'm sure it was not a syringe
4) I don't think that sharp thing was stained with blood
5) I do not know if he scratched someone else with that sharp thing

I know the virus dies in contact with air, and i know that sharp thing wasn't syrange.
But I am very stressed.
Could that person scratch my neck right after
Scratching someone else? (but i also say that i don't know if he scratched someone else or not, but i saw he scratched someone else after me.)

Please be sure to answer whether there is a possibility of getting HIV on this condition or not because I am very stressed about this.
thanks.

The only risks for HIV in adults are:
1) Having unprotected anal or vaginal sex, or
2) sharing intravenous needles with IV drug users.

HIV is not easy to contract, and requires that the virus enter the bloodstream.  NOTHING enters the bloodstream via minor cuts or scrapes that do not require medical attention, including HIV.

Thanks for the reply!
So it means that if that sharp thing is even infected with the virus and scratches my skin, it will not transmit the virus?
It means that unless you had one of the two events I mentioned above, you will never be at risk for HIV.
So if a sharp object, such as a solid needle or a knife that is infected with the virus, wounds or scratches my neck, it will not cause hiv because it does not reach the bloodstream.
so that means there is no chance to get hiv through my neck scratch even if that sharp thing have the virus?
Your question has been fully answered, and you have been advised about how a person can get HIV.  There is nothing more for our members to say about your non-risk event.
