In serious need of advice
I am a stupid man who has thrown everything away.Three weeks ago when my wife went overseas, I had a sexual encounter with my domestic worker (African) ,I developed some strange symptoms on my body, fever, joint pain lasting the whole night,night sweats on my back and buttocks, a white layer on my tongue and now an enlarged lymph node under my right jaw with no corresponding infection.I clindestinely aquired some testing kits from a top hospital and ran a test on he last night and as per my medical contacts indication there were three purple lines one on control the other on T1 and T2 which i understand are positives for both hiv 1 or 2.I retested again this morning and arrived at the same values.I ran a tect on my self which only had a line on the control.I dont remember a condom burst but the intercourse was rough and i did not come due to guilt.Please help me what can I do, im in a terible situation, i read that testing at home is not recomended-should I disregard these results?
I saw that...but its not confirmed positive and he wondered if he needs to trust his home results?
I believe the first post he has indicated that he tested his domestic helper then tested himself, although at the time since possible exposure was very recent the test came back negative for himself but possitive for his help.
Wait for your WB result, there is still hope. Pcr I have heard is not a very good test due to high % of false positives. Reading thru the countless doctors forum it says that all elisa test that comes out positive needs a confirmatory WB, why? I would assume this is because elisa has in the past given false positives. Regarding your white tongue it may something else, specially if you don't get much sleep. Pray and hope it is a false positive, and in the event if comes out true I can't give any advise or comment since I myself do not know what's in store for me.

Did you get your domestic worker tested? The test you took has a high rate of false positives!
My doctor has already drawn blood for this but my pcr was positive before ...the situation looks hopeless, i have lost my wife and will loose my children, I still have a layer of white stuff on the center of my tongue, this gives me little hope...
Get a western blot to confirm your positive elisa, possibility of false positive is there

My 51/2 week rna pcr has come back detectable im shell shocked, my cd 4 count is 420-howver my Eliza is negative...can this be ruled out as a wrong result?, the Eliza test is still the gold standard right?
I cant say that for sure because I had been drinking.The position i used was mercinery and the sex was rough the under side of my penis made the most contact and friction, i am worried if a small hole could have been made .I did not ejaculate and from the top the condom looked intact.As I entered forcefully the condom sometimes felt as if it was retreating upon pulling out and filling up upon rentering.I even punctured a condom and masterbated but there was no fantastic break?...im very worried surely these symptoms could not have been brought by nothing.
I use a condom but as i said the sex was rough and i felt sore afterwards, i am a bit concerned that it might have torn on the underside perhaps..as I had a pain full discharge for a few days after.The top seemed intact but I did not check if there might have been a tear underneath???
