Bad choice

Hello,

I'm a new associate on a business trip in Brazil. As you might know, the sexual culture in this country is fairly open. Me and one of my friends went out to a "massage parlor" and during the encounter I performed as well as received unprotected oral sex from the "masseuse". After that, we had protected intercourse.

How high is the risk of getting HIV from this encounter? I read in most threads that the risk form getting infected after cunilingus is very low. And somewhere else I read that getting it form felatio is also very low. I guess I'm just looking for reassurance on the risk front.

Anyone?

You didn't have a risk at all.

No. Saliva is not infectious and contains over a dozen different enzymes and proteins that inhibit HIV transmission.

Thank you for your answer.

I forgot to mention that when I'm under a lot of stress I tend to bite the inner part of my lower lip. This trip has been stressful enough to make me have a small part of exposed skin (it actually bled a very little bit).

Does that increase the risk?
