Blood in mouth

Hi boys and girls,

I found your website by browsing the net and I have a question for you.
I am at the moment going through quite a bit of dentistry work to put a severe gum condition right and although we are not sure if it is all connected  (sorry for the graphic detail)but I regularly have a mouth full of blood and saliva which I am having check ups on.

Anyway yesterday I had a fright. I was speaking to two guys who live locally and are HIV positive in the waiting area at the dentist. The three of us had just had work on our teeth and waiting to go back in and one of the guys gums had been bleeding quite badly.
As we were talking spit and blood came from his mouth in to mine (we were litterally opposite and face to face to each other).
I was called in to see the dentist a minute or so later and spat out my own blood (A MOUTH FULL!) in to a cup which would have I expect mixed with his.

Please let me know the chances of catching hiv like this and if I need to test. I don't want to test unless I have to as I had a test about 6 months ago coming up clear and as I have learn't my leason I will certainly not be going to take any more risks again so otherwise I should be in the clear.

Thanks

Sorry to be a pain on this but it is still playing on my mind and badly. Anyone else with some feedback or should I just get a life and not worry about it as I didn't have a risk.

Thank you

Thank you Vance2335 and it is obviously the news I wanted to hear.
I don't know who is who on this website but I understand you have quite a bit of knowledge.
If anyone else has any feedback it would be good otherwise I know that I am ok and will forget testing and get on with my life.

Respect to everyone.
