Can't help being freaked out

On Dec 7th I went to a massuese for a hand job.  I had my eyes closed during the hand job and didn't realize she was going to give me oral until she started.  Rather quickly I came to my senses and stopped her, but it still happened.  9 days later I had protected vaginal sex and soon thereafter I developed urethritis and some lower abdominal discomfort and lost my appetite.  On the 21st, I went to my Doc because I had lower back pain, discomfort in my groin area, the urethritis and general discomfort in my groin area.  The Doc ruled out herpes because I had no lesions, did not test for gonorrhea/chlamydia because I had not discharge but sent me for HIV blood test.  I was disappointed in his lack of thoroughness and went to the Health dept. on the 22nd.  They drew blood for Syphlis, swaped for Gon/Chlam and did quick antibody test for HIV.  Just after Christmas all test came back Negative.  (I know the HIV test only mean I didn't have HIV going into the encounter).  Since then I have had very pronounced joint and muscle aches, especially in my legs and particularly in my Hamstring area.  I also have a throat issue where it is hard to swallow and feels like I can't clear my throat I have not had a fever.

Everyone here says I had no risk but the symptoms I'm having are very pronounced and their timeliness and duration continue to make me fearfull it is HIV.  I have a test scheduled for this Friday but I'm scared to death it will be positive. I don't know how I'm going to make it until Friday and I don't know what I will do if its HIV.

Went today for rapid HIV test, 4 weeks post exposure.   Negative.  I know I cannot count on that as 100% reliable but according to Dr. HH if the symptoms I have been having for the last 2 weeks were ARS it would have been positive.  So at least I can be sure my symptoms were not ars.  Not looking for any comments here necessarily.  Just keeping my thread updated for others reference.  Will re test at 12 weeks and those results will be my last post.

I have heard this from many many many people and guess what they still do not believe us. Then they have a 3 month test and come back and write how we are right and they were dumb for not believing us months ago.

You did not have a risk, you can think what you want but at this time this forum can be of no more help to you.

I really appreciate everyones comments, but my leg pain, joint pain and throat issue continue going on 2 weeks now.  And beginning 2 weeks after the unprotected oral sex.  I've done a lot of research and find that only Acute HIV causes this combination of symptoms.  I guess I need to find a way to accept that I probably have it and prepare myself for the positive test that I know is coming.

ANYONE REALLY GOOD AT STATS?

I did some research and found that according to my State Health Dept. There are approximately 1030 know cases of HIV/AIDS in my county with a population of 605,213.  Some quick math says that only .1 % of the population in my area.  Assuming half are women it is even lower. I realize that my chances of both encountering one of these women and getting HIV from oral sex with her should be fairly low, although I slept through the probability section of my stats class so I can't calculate it.

Anyone have the stats skills to calculate probabilty?

Stress can even make your body show sympthoms, stress can make a lot of bad things!
It can go as long as you think about it, as long as you are stressing out (like you)!

You can get tested 3 months after exposure if it helps you to stop thinking about it! But I tell you, protected sex and oral sex presents NO risk!

You CANT get HIV from oral sex! It is only theoretical, never confirmed, a MYTH!
You had PROTECTED vaginal sex! No HIV for you!

You are in bigger risk from stress than HIV! ;)
