Condoms

Is an intact condom Zero risk or Low risk? and why?
Why does the CDC say that an intact condom does not ELIMINATE the risk but just reduce it significantly?

Well, you surely know that the least misleading information is gonna frighten the heck of a worried person and even though (answering your question) I don't think they should encourage using condom if the was still a risk, I still don't get it why the heck would the CDC say that condoms are effective then say that they don't eliminate the risk.

Anyway, thank you

1) No
2) Never seen anyone test positive here

Condom protected sex is not a risk. That is why is it recommended to use condoms. They don't reduce the risk they stop the risk. Do you think you would be encouraged to use a condom if there was still a risk?

Plus (and I will STOP asking if you answer me these questions):

1) since you've been posting here for some time now. Has anybody ever come back to say that they got infected after a condom protected encounter?

2) Have you ever seen a 7 week ELISA negative change to positive?

Thats it.

And if I ask the CDC and they tell me thats what studies show. What will you answer me to prove that condoms are 100% protective?

Yes. I read this also. I still have the same question. It clearly mentions that the risk is not eliminated (in the cdc website). Even with an intact condom. My question is why?

Latex condoms, when used consistently and correctly, are highly effective in preventing the sexual transmission of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. In addition, consistent and correct use of latex condoms reduces the risk of other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including diseases transmitted by genital secretions, and to a lesser degree, genital ulcer diseases. Condom use may reduce the risk for genital human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and HPV-associated diseases, e.g., genital warts and cervical cancer.
Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier to particles the size of STD pathogens.
